What is a Rainforest?

Brief Explanation: A rainforest is a thick forest in moderately warm to very hot areas which have high rainfall and very high humidity usually between the tropics(the tropic of Cancer and the tropic of Capricorn).

In-depth Explanation: A rainforests is pretty much a jungle. It has a wide biodiversity(you might wanna check that up on www.dictionary.com if you don't know that word) and is usually found between the tropic of Cancer and Capricorn. Rainforests are split into two categories: tropical rainforests and temperate rainforests. Tropical rainforests are hot and humid, like you would expect, and the temperature rises to about 40 degrees Celsius during midday. Temperate Rainforests on the other hand, are wet but not humid. The temperature only reaches about 35 degrees Celsius max. Two relatively different types of forests, but are both listed in the rainforests category. Interesting, don't you think?
